99 Things You Wish You Knew Before®... Entering the World of Internet Dating
Melanie Dodson is The Internet Dating Coach, working with singles since 2003 to simplify the search for that special person. “Whether it’s a fun date or your future mate, they’re out there. And they’re looking for you too!” she says with certainty.
During her first few months using online dating, Melanie noticed that the average daters lacked a certain sizzle at presenting themselves in their online profile and through email. She also met many daters who were hesitant to use online dating sites. After hearing their concerns, she concluded their fears were unfounded. Regarding her personal experience, Melanie explains, “Although at first I stumbled upon internet dating and had great results, it wasn’t an accident. Those first few steps are the most important.” Melanie soon began providing internet dating advice and feedback to her single friends and acquaintances and became known among them as an internet dating expert.
With the positive feedback she received, and seeing a definite need within the singles community, she became The Internet Dating Coach. Before long her friendly advice grew into seminars and workshops in the NYC area, as well as one-on-one coaching.
As she continues to win friends and influence people, Melanie is also a Dale Carnegie Training Consultant and Certified Trainer of the world-famous Dale Carnegie Course®.
She enjoys conveying her skills to her clients. In her own words, “I love seeing my clients truly connect with people online, which makes that first face-to-face encounter that much better.”
Melanie has appeared in The New York Daily News, Channel 7 Eyewitness News (Metro NY), Citilife Magazine, Tampa Bay’s 10, Fox 13, News Channel 8. She was also featured in Smart Woman, a nationally-syndicated show, and in October 2008 hosted an episode of The Singles Life on Comcast Cable.
In her free time, Melanie enjoys tennis, yoga, and meeting new people, especially while travelling.
