Jared Trexler is an award-winning columnist and author who recently penned his first book dissecting the history of Penn State’s distinguished football program. Along with writing Penn State Football: An Interactive Guide to the World of Sports (Savas Beatie, 2009), Trexler has served as a national sports writer and college basketball columnist for a Philadelphia-based Associated Press wire service for four years. His columns have been printed on the web sites of such national publications as the Miami Herald, New York-Times and Seattle Post Intelligencer.
Trexler has also demonstrated his craft in many different writing mediums – from in-depth feature writing and technical financial writing to marketing copy. He is currently employed by Ed Slott and Company, where he is responsible for all advertising copy while handling writing and management of the nation’s predominant blog for financial advisors and consumers, The Slott Report (http://theslottreport.blogspot.com).
Jared is a 2005 graduate with honors from Penn State’s School of Sports Journalism, where he interned under the voice of Penn State football, Steve Jones. Trexler currently resides in the Philadelphia suburbs.
